João Chianca Tops Men's Surfing Round 1 Heat 5 at the 2024 Olympics

The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris have added surfing to the mix, showcasing the exhilarating discipline at the renowned Teahupo'o, Tahiti. In Men’s Round 1, Heat 5, João Chianca from Brazil made a stunning debut, finishing first with a total score of 10.07 points. Chianca’s performance featured an impressive wave that scored 5.67, alongside several other noteworthy rides, showcasing his skill and agility on the board.

Chianca's journey to this moment has been remarkable; he debuted in the World Surfing League in 2022 and had his first major win in 2023 at the Portugal Pro.
