Brisa Hennessy Triumphs in Women's Round 3 Heat 8 at Surfing Olympics

In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Costa Rica's Brisa Hennessy triumphed in Women's Round 3 - Heat 8 of the Surfing event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This exciting heat took place on August 1, 2024, at the renowned surf spot Teahupo'o in Tahiti, where Hennessy showcased her exceptional talent against a competitive field.

Hennessy, who earned a remarkable score of 12.34 points, dominated the heat, finishing in first place. Her performance included multiple impressive waves, with a high score of 7.67 on her third wave, demonstrating her prowess in the water. Notably, her consistency was evident as she secured additional scores of 4.17 and 0.83 in earlier waves, contributing to her overall score.

Competing alongside Hennessy was Portugal's Yolanda Hopkins, who finished in second place with a commendable score of 9.90 points. Hopkins, who made her international debut at the 2023 MEO Rip Curl Portugal Pro, also delivered a strong performance, including a top score of 6.33 on her first wave.
